Star Color and Gradient exploration Star

The Project:

As an Instructional Designer, we commonly find ourselves seeking new ways of presenting information.

I wanted to explore the idea of gradient design from the perspective of color theory and palette utilization.

That way – I could open up creative avenues within vague brand guidelines.

The Goal:

Experiment with gradients by creating unique blends utilizing various color palettes to emulate client needs.

These can be used for:
Presentation slides, Document Creation, Iconography, Illustrator, Motion design, and so much more.

Designs:

These are three examples of different gradients that can be generated.

Color and Gradient Exploration

Lessons learned:

Delving into color theory reinforced the significance of color harmony and contrast in visual communication. Understanding how different colors interact helped me create gradients that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also enhance readability and engagement in instructional materials.

Experimenting with gradients allowed me to see how flexible design can be, even within strict brand guidelines. By exploring various color palettes and blending techniques, I discovered innovative ways to stay true to brand identity while injecting fresh visual interest and dynamism into my designs.

Creating these has never been easier – using just illustrator and their built-in freeform gradient tool.
